The Free Lunch Program, a federal and state-supported program, is available to those families who qualify.  Free or reduced meals will be available to eligible students who complete the application form from the district.  Qualifications are based on family income and number of children in the home.  For further information, call Mrs. Kathy Christenson at 962-8581, ext. 510.

A computerized cafeteria management system (WEBSMARTT) is used.  Each student is issued a customized debit card with a unique bar code.  This is a debit account system (not a credit account), where money is deposited via cash, check or credit card using MyLunchMoney.com into the student’s account and then the student can purchase food items using that account.  At mealtime, the cashier scans the card, or with parental permission for a finger scan (available on school website) the student can use the touchpad scanner and the computer accesses his/her account and the purchases are deducted.  If the student is eligible for the free meal program, the computer knows the status automatically and charges nothing, as if the student had money on account.

Charging Policy:  If your child does not have money for lunch he/she can charge with the expectation that the money will be repaid the following day.  If payment is not made after a second day of charging, his/her lunch will consist of a sandwich and milk at the full lunch price.
